Mini Mushroom Swiss Sliders

These Mini Mushroom Swiss Sliders feature juicy beef patties topped with sautéed mushrooms and melted Swiss cheese on soft slider buns, perfect for a tasty appetizer or game day snack.

  • 12 mini slider buns
  • 1 lb ground beef
  • 8 oz mushrooms, sliced
  • 1 tbsp butter
  • 6 slices Swiss cheese, halved
  • 1 small onion, finely chopped
  • 1 clove garlic, minced
  • Salt and pepper, to taste
  • 1 tbsp olive oil
  • Optional: lettuce and tomato slices

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. In a skillet, heat olive oil over medium heat. Add onions and garlic, sauté until translucent.
  3. Add sliced mushrooms and butter, cook until mushrooms are tender and browned. Season with salt and pepper. Set aside.
  4. Form ground beef into 12 small patties, season with salt and pepper.
  5. Heat a grill pan or skillet over medium-high heat and cook patties about 3-4 minutes per side or until desired doneness.
  6. Place a half slice of Swiss cheese on each patty and let it melt slightly.
  7. Slice slider buns in half and arrange bottom halves in a baking dish.
  8. Place cooked patties with cheese on buns, top with sautéed mushrooms mixture.
  9. Cover with top halves of buns, loosely cover with foil, and bake for 5-7 minutes until warmed through.
  10. Serve warm, optionally with lettuce and tomato slices.

Notes

For extra flavor, try adding a smear of garlic aioli or Dijon mustard to the buns before assembling the sliders.
