Garlic Butter Lemon Salmon

This Garlic Butter Lemon Salmon is a quick and flavorful dish featuring tender salmon fillets seared in a zesty garlic butter sauce with fresh lemon.

  • 4 salmon fillets (6 oz each)
  • 3 tbsp unsalted butter
  • 4 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 lemon, juiced and zested
  • Salt, to taste
  • Freshly ground black pepper, to taste
  • 2 tbsp olive oil
  • 1 tbsp fresh parsley, chopped (optional)

Instructions

  1. Pat the salmon fillets dry with paper towels and season both sides with salt and pepper.
  2. Heat olive oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat.
  3. Place salmon fillets skin-side up in the skillet and cook for 4-5 minutes without moving until golden brown.
  4. Flip the salmon and cook for another 3-4 minutes until cooked through and easily flaked.
  5. Reduce heat to medium, add butter and minced garlic to the skillet.
  6. Sauté garlic in the melted butter for 1 minute until fragrant.
  7. Add lemon juice and zest, spooning the garlic butter sauce over the salmon fillets.
  8. Remove from heat and garnish with chopped fresh parsley if desired.
  9. Serve immediately with your favorite sides.

Notes

For extra flavor, marinate the salmon with lemon juice and garlic for 15 minutes before cooking, or serve with steamed vegetables and rice for a complete meal.
