Citrus Chicken Thighs

Juicy chicken thighs marinated in a bright citrus blend and cooked to perfection, delivering a flavorful and zesty dinner option that’s both simple and satisfying.

  • 6 bone-in, skin-on chicken thighs
  • 1 orange, juiced and zested
  • 1 lemon, juiced and zested
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil
  • 1 tablespoon honey
  • 1 teaspoon smoked paprika
  • Salt and freshly ground black pepper, to taste
  • Fresh parsley, chopped (for garnish)

Instructions

  1. In a bowl, combine orange juice, lemon juice, orange zest, lemon zest, garlic, olive oil, honey, smoked paprika, salt, and pepper.
  2. Add the chicken thighs to the marinade and coat evenly. Cover and refrigerate for at least 30 minutes, or up to 2 hours for deeper flavor.
  3. Preheat the oven to 400°F (200°C).
  4. Place the marinated chicken thighs on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper, skin side up.
  5. Bake for 35-40 minutes, until the chicken is cooked through and the skin is crispy and golden.
  6. Remove from the oven and let rest for 5 minutes.
  7. Garnish with chopped fresh parsley before serving.

For extra zest, serve with a side of steamed vegetables or citrus-infused rice to complement the flavors perfectly.
