  • 1 pound breakfast sausage, uncooked
  • 2 cups shredded sharp cheddar cheese
  • 1 cup biscuit baking mix
  • 1/4 cup unsalted butter, melted
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon dried parsley flakes
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt
  • 1/4 teaspoon black pepper

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C) and lightly grease a baking sheet.
  2. In a large bowl, combine sausage, shredded cheddar, biscuit mix, and melted butter. Mix until well blended.
  3. Roll the mixture into 1-inch balls and place them about 1 inch apart on the prepared baking sheet.
  4. In a small bowl, mix garlic powder, parsley flakes, salt, and pepper. Sprinkle this mixture evenly over the sausage balls.
  5. Bake in the preheated oven for 25-30 minutes or until golden brown and cooked through.
  6. Remove from oven, let cool for a few minutes, then serve warm.

Notes

For an extra spicy kick, add a pinch of cayenne pepper to the mixture or serve with a spicy dipping sauce.
